What's In My Make Up Drawer?!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a true beauty junkie...and I have no problem admitting it. I've been wearing make up for about 4 years now. I've researched, practiced, tried new techniques, and changed my look several times! I've poured over magazine upon magazine. I've met with my local Mary Kay representative. I just love it!
My opinion on make up is that it is meant to enhance your natural beauty. I think one of the worst compliments you could receive is 'I like your make up.' No!!! Your make up shouldn't look good; YOU should look good! I mean, every now and then I like to seriously play up my eyes with a turquoise shadow that's noticeable, but for everyday wear I prefer to look semi-natural.

So...What's in my make up drawer?!

This is my lovely make up drawer...I just reorganized it! :)
In it you will find:
For my face...
Mary Kay Concealer in Ivory 2 (for my Italian-inherited under eye circles and the occasional zit)
Mary Kay Mineral Powder in Ivory 1

mascara...
CoverGirl Natureluxe Mousse Mascara in Very Black
CoverGirl Lashblast Fusion in Very Black
CoverGirl Exact Eyelights in Black Sapphire (waterproof & regular)

eyeliner...
CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus in Black Onyx, Midnight Blue, and Espresso
CoverGirl Liquiline Blast in Charcoal
CoverGirl Exact Eyelights in Radiant Sapphire

eyeshadow...
CoverGirl in shades of gold, white, and teal
Mary Kay Mineral eye color in Amber Blaze, Crystalline, Iris, and Lavender
CoverGirl Shadow Blasts

For everyday I wear concealer, mineral powder, neutral shades of eyeshadow, eyeliner (top and bottom), and mascara!

Let's not forget my endless collection of lip gloss...

I get all my lip glosses from Philosophy! They add the perfect amount of color and smell soooo yummy! These are just some of my fave flavors. I highly recommend Pumpkin Spice Muffin and Pink Frosted Animal Cracker! There are so many flavors; it's craaaazy! Check 'em out below!http://www.philosophy.com/bath-and-body/bath-category/bath-lip-shines

And remember, girlies: there is nothing wrong with going au naturale! Give your skin some time to breathe! Have a great week!
Peace out! xoxoxo

Fave Songs at the Moment!

I love music. So much. It's my favorite thing in the entire world...minus Dairy Queen ;) I don't like just one certain type of music, though. I have playlists for when I'm sad, happy, tired...I have playlists for when I'm feeling like a punk/rocker chick (I know, it's hard to picture but I do love me some Avril and Blink182!), playlists for when I feel like embracing my inner hippie, and don't even get me started on my collection of country music!...playlists upon playlists upon playlists...And I'm always getting new music! Here's a list of some songs (old and new) I've been listening to lately :)

1. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz
2. Come Over - Kenny Chesney
3. Everybody Talks - Neon Trees
4. Wide Awake - Katy Perry
5. The Fighter - Gym Class Heroes
6. Pontoon - Little Big Town
7. First Date - Blink182
8. Complicated - Avril Lavigne
9. Springsteen - Eric Church
10. Somebody That I Used To Know - Gotye feat. Kimbra
11. Turning Tables - Adele
12. The Motto - Drake feat. Lil Wayne (Clean)
13. 6 Foot 7 Foot - Lil Wayne feat. Cory Gunz (Clean)
14. The Sweet Escape - Gwen Stefani
15. Super Bass - Nicki Minaj (This is and always will be my favorite song ;))
16. Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson
17. Giving You Up - Miley Cyrus
18. Friends - Band of Skulls
19. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Green Day
20. Take a Back Road - Rodney Atkins

And on another musical note (Get it? Haha), Taylor Swift just released a new song! I think she looks absolutely stunning in the album artwork.
I am Taylor's biggest fan without a doubt. I know every lyric to every song and pretty much her whole life story. When I first heard her new single, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I'll admit I was kinda shocked...It is so much more mainstream than her older stuff. But I still listened to it a gazillion times until I had the lyrics down...and it grew on me. I love it now. It's an awesome breakup anthem like so many of her other songs! Can't wait for her new album, Red!

What does everyone else think of Taylor's new single? What are you listening to these days?
Happy Monday! Peace out!

FAIRest of Them All

Where I live, summer is all about fairs, festivals, and carnivals! My best friends and I went to a local carnival a few weeks ago...This was my fave picture from the night.
And yes, I did spend 4 bucks on a slice of pizza (yaayy for carnie prices..), but it was delish!

Next was the County Fair. My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to score some tickets to The Band Perry! They were awesome live :)

More pictures from the night...

My dad brought my brother and sister along, too. We ended the night with some games and  a delicious brownie sundae :)

A few days ago my boyfriend, Ryan, and I went to another local fair. My mom snapped a few pictures before we left. Also, you may notice I now have blonde hair. I'm loving it :)

My mom got me that shirt at Aeropostale. It is without a doubt my fave shirt :) I'm already thinking of how I'm going to transition it into fall wear!

I hope everyone enjoys their final weeks of summer! I go back to school next week.. :'(

PEACE OUT! xoxoxo

Yay! Friday Faves!

1. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color...Quite a lengthy name...haha but this nail polish is awesome! My toes are currently this shade and I got away with only putting on one coat! $4.99 at Walgreens
 2. Dairy Queen's Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzard...or just the cheesecake pieces in general! I work at my local DQ, and I find myself snacking on cheesecake allll the time. Try one; you won't regret it! A small blizzard at my local DQ is $3.29.
3. CoverGirl Natureluxe Water Resistant Mousse Mascara...The shade I use is Very Black! This stuff does NOT clump and it comes off fairly easy when I wash my face at night. My lashes look super long without looking fake. $7.98 at Walmart

 4. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Soundtrack...I got this CD awhile ago, but I just recently became obsessed with it. My fave song at the moment (on this soundtrack) is Ours by The Bravery. It's super motivating...kinda makes ya wanna run a marathon (or at least get off the couch...hahaha) $11.99 on iTunes

5. Coffee-mate French Vanilla Coffee Creamer...YUM. I drink a cup of coffee every morning and this stuff makes it taste heavenly! $3.98 at Walmart

6. Aeropostale Flip Flops...I have had this exact pair of flip flops from Aero for almost two years now, and they still look brand new and are as comfy as ever. They've survived endless walking at Disney World...they can survive anything! INDESTRUCTIBLE! hahaha $6.00 at Aeropostale (They're on sale now!!!)
 7. Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm...Ahh this stuff is amazing! My favorite flavor is Grape Vine. It smells good, and it adds a tint of color! Plus, it has SPF 20. Yay for sun protection! $2.97 at Walmart

And finally....

8. John Ross Ewing...Sexiest man alive right there! My absolute favorite TV show right now is DALLAS. It is seriously amazing and I recommend it to every single person that reads this blog. John Ross would most deff be my fave character (played by Josh Henderson.) The season finale was just on Wednesday night! Dallas comes back in January...For all of you that have yet to watch it, I suggest you watch the first season. Priceless ;)

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
Peace out! :)

Typical Teenage Girl

This is the "Typical Teenage Girl"...note the peace sign, duck lips, and cell phone ;)
It seems pretty much impossible for me to scroll through my Facebook newsfeed these days without seeing the inevitable duck face/ peace sign/ bathroom mirror ordeal. I'll admit, I'm guilty of it, too! I loooove to embrace my inner hippie every now and then, but seriously. C'mon. What happened to smiling? It just seems like EVERYONE is doing it. Embrace your originality! Take pictures in places other than your bathroom! God forbid you ask someone to take a picture of you! Start a new little  trend. To sum this little rant up, I'm quoting my favorite :)

"Be who you are
 and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."
- Dr. Seuss

An Afternoon with Flynn

Ignore the obnoxious CamWow logo :p
"A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life."
- Isadora James

I found this cute little quote a few days ago, and I thought of my little sister Flynn Grace immediately. Although we have 13 years between us, I consider her a best friend. Flynn is such a blessing. No matter what kind of day I'm having, she is ALWAYS there to cheer me up! At 2 and a half years old, she doesn't have much of a filter...meaning she tells it just like it is. I'm pretty grateful for that! She'll be the first one to tell me if she doesn't like my hair or make up. I adore Flynn because being with her gives me a break from the real world of teenage drama. This is because most of my time spent with her usually consists of playing with her baby dolls or watching Cinderella for the 145893478th time!

While sitting on my front porch the other day, I took some pictures of Flynners :)

 She's quite the model ;)

I hope you all have a lovely summer weekend! Peace out!
:)
